This page has been created in an effort to help our past and prospective clients in determining whether a refinance is suitable for their individual circumstances.  Everyone's situation is unique and we understand that.  Too often in the mortgage industry there are loan officers who are looking out for their best interest- NOT YOURS!  

One example is that we have had prospective borrowers who are currently in an interest only fixed rate loan at a very good rate and they want to get out of their Interest Only payment.  The borrower is under the assumption that they must refinance to get into a principal and interest payment.  Unfortunately there are many who would take advantage of this situation and lead the borrower to do a refinance.  At Prime Rate Funding Group, Inc we analyze our clients' full financial picture and in the example above would suggest that the borrower simply forego a refinance and begin applying principal to their existing loan.  Of course we would have liked the business, but it would not have made sense for the borrower to refinance because they could accomplish the same thing on their own.
